You cannot connect directly between Shopify and Quickbooks Desktop. You would have to use a dedicated app like Quickbooks Desktop Automator and Quickbooks Web Connector to do that. You can find Quickbooks Desktop Automator in the Shopify App Store. Intuit supplies the Quickbooks Web Connector with Quickbooks. You will then be able to sync (customers, orders, stock items, etc.) between Shopify and Quickbooks Desktop.
