It's pretty safe & more convenient due to the fact you can access from anywhere. For instance during this snowstorm these last couple of days, I was not able to remote into my QuickBooks desktop due to connectivity issues. From experience, the only con of QB online is that you are not able to run some of the reports as you can in QB desktop.
